Tango Patcher 2600 is a program to modify your XP Desktop. By using this program, also known as "Super Turbo Tango Patcher" you can implement the basic Tango icon set, the Tangerine icon set, the Industrial icon set and the Gnome icon theme. You can choose what to install during the setup process. Tango Patcher 2600 will work on every 32 bit version and edition of Windows XP and Server 2003, in any language.
When you install the program, it will replace every Windows component that it needs in order to modify EVERY icon in the system. It will save all the replaced files in a folder named Backup, so you´ll be able to roll back everything to the original state, in case you decide to uninstall Tango Patcher. The program requires you to reboot your system after installation. Once you restart, Windows will have every icon replaced. The program will put on your disk some additional folders. In the "Resources" folder you will see the icons that Tango Patcher uses, categorized in sub-folders. In the "Tools" folder you will find some programs as MoveEx.exe, ResHacker.exe (a resource viewer, decompiler and recompiler), wfpdisable.exe and xvi32.exe, an hexadecimal editor. |
